Champions Decided in Final Point Night at TCMS

Hudson, North Carolina (August 27, 2010) - The Final Points Night here at the Tri-County Motor Speedway will go down in the record books as a night of great NASCAR short track racing action, a large fan crowd was on hand to witness the event. and some of the best short track drivers in the country were ready to showcase their talent behind the wheel, excitement and anticipation was in the air as drivers in several classes were locked into tight points battles and knew that one mishap on track could make or break their entire season!

In The Late Model 50 lapper the points championship was already sewn up for 2010 with Grant Wimbish clenching the title on Aug 20th but that did nothing to slow him down as he took the checkered flag after winning the pole earlier in the day, first time TCMS competitor Harrison Rhodes looked like a seasoned veteran as he claimed the runner up spot and D4D driver Jessica Brunelli came home with a 3rd place finish, Not to be forgotten Lee Faulk Racing driver Tyler Brown finished his year second in points for the second consecutive year at TCMS

The Tightest points battle was in the Limited Late Model division with only 6 points separating Waylon Flynn and Tyler Church going into the season finale, It was any man's championship to win but Flynn was not to be denied as he was flawless on the night with a pole a win in the 35 lap event and the 2010 TCMS Limited Late Model driving title. Tyler Church gave it all he had but came up 8 points short and had to settle for second in the feature and in the points battle, Josh Goble came home with yet another top 3 finish as he rounded out the podium

The Late Model Super Truck Class Ricky Dennie came in with a 26 point advantage over second place in points Dominick Casola needing just to start the event to walk away 2010 TCMS Truck champ but he did more than that, Dennie fought hard to the end coming home with a 3rd place finish  ending his season with a 32 point advantage over Casola, to claim Championship honors, Brandon Setzer was the winner of the event, his 5th win of the season he was also the fastest qualifier, and young Jake Marlowe was impressive with his second place finish

In the Street Stock Division It was Charlie Watson Taking home the checkered flag for the second week in a row but all eyes were on Marshall Sutton as he powered his number 64 to a second place finish and in doing so was crowned the 2010 TCMS Street Stock driving Champion he defeated Roy Smith by 34 points as Roy finished in the third spot

Dan Moore took home the win yet again in the Renegade Division but it was the red number 4 of Greg Austin who took home the season Title  as he finished a close second in the 20 lap event 2009 champ Dillion Crouch finished third in the event and in doing so finished the year second in Renegade points
