Located in Western North Carolina, Tri-County Motor
Speedway is a 4/10 mile banked asphalt track racing weekly on Friday night
as it has for most of it's existence. A NASCAR Home Track facility,
TCMS features Late Models as it's premier division and has been a proving
ground for many of today's rising talents.

Swaim wins the battle but Canipe wins
the war
Canipe takes two track titles Friday
night at Tri-County
Hudson,
North Carolina (September 11, 2009) - Travis Swaim
won the season-ending Late Model Stock feature Friday night at
Tri-County Motor Speedway. Canipe Jr. finished fifth but was
able to clinch the 2009 track championship at TCMS.
Ashley
Huffman recorded his best finish of the season coming home
second while Ryan Gifford finished third. Grant Wimbish was
fourth.
Ty Dillon, grandson of NASCAR
Sprint Cup Series car owner Richard Childress, was sixth with
Tyler Brown and Monty Cox finishing seventh and eighth,
respectively. Megan Regan Reitenour and Josh Burchette
completed the top 10.
Canipe won the Limited Late
Model race also celebrating a title in that division as well.
Christian Pahud and Dmonick Casola also collected podium
finishes. Mike Eplee and Justin Robertson completed the top
five.
Kevin Eby won the Baton Tire
Street Stock race with Roy Smith second and David Smith third.
David Smith won the track title in
the Baton Tire sponsored
division.
Dillon Crouch won the Renegade
track title in style winning his feature event. Carroll
McKinney was second with Barney Arnette third.
