Located in Western North Carolina, Tri-County Motor
Speedway is a 4/10 mile banked asphalt track racing weekly on Friday night
as it has for most of it's existence. A NASCAR Home Track facility,
TCMS features Late Models as it's premier division and has been a proving
ground for many of today's rising talents.

Canipe
Now Has Six Reasons to be Happy at Tri-County
Hudson,
North Carolina (July 24, 2009) - Dexter Canipe, Jr.
is enjoying a season at Tri-County Motor Speedway most drivers
can only dream about during their career. After the regular
divisions had the week off last week with UARA bringing its
touring series to TCMS, Canipe led the regulars back into
action Friday night. Canipe won his sixth Late Model Stock
race of the season holding back Ty Dillon, grandson of NASCAR
Sprint Cup Series car owner Richard Childress for the win. R.A.
Brown, who won the season-opening race back in April, was
third. Tyler Brown finished fourth and Jesse Lefevers
completed the top five.
Canipe
also made it six wins in the Limited Late Model race as well.
Chris Phipps finished second with Dominic Casola getting his
best finish of the season in third. Mark McIntosh was fourth
with Terrence Tucker fifth.
In
the Baton Tire Street Stock division race, Kevin Eby picked up
his first win in the division since June 19 and his third
overall of the season. David Smith was second and Josh
Burchette came home third. Waylon Flynn and Charlie Watson
completed the top five.
Dustin
Walker won his second straight Renegade race with Dillon
Crouch and Barney Arnette completing the top three. The
Tarheel Vintage cars made their third visit to the speedway
this year and Sam Bean took home the win.
Next
Friday night, July 31, all four regular divisions will be in
action plus the Allison Legacy Series makes it second visit to
the track in a special race in the series started by NASCAR
