TCMS Season To Begin With SCSCS ICEBREAKER 250
 Hudson,
North Carolina (December 13, 2007) - As a result of the
huge success of the 2007 Enduro race sponsored by Hearts with
Hands and Cars Plus; Tri-County Speedway, Joe Schmaling, and
Mart Nesbitt together are scheduling three special events for
2008.
The event dates are Saturday, March 8th; Friday
June 6th; and Saturday October 25th. These
events will be held separate of the normal Tri-County Motor
Speedway schedule. Each
of the events will feature the exciting new Super Cup touring
series, a special Street Stock event, and the ever popular
Enduro event. We
will be posting the specific rules for both the Street Stock
and Enduro events on the Tri-County site as well as the Super
Cup series website.
The March 8 event will kick off the 2008 racing season for
both the Super Cup series and Tri-County Motor speedway.
The event will feature 100 laps for the Super Cup cars.
In 2008, Tri-County will be the home track for this
exciting touring series!
We are expecting a huge field for this first event.
The Street Stock event will feature 75 laps with
qualifying. The
rules for the street stock event will be a version of
Hickory/Tri-County/and Newport rules.
The winner of the event will receive a minimum of $500!
The 1st Enduro event will also be 75 laps
caution free paying a minimum of $400 to win.
Last years Enduro event saw the top five finishers all
from different home tracks!
In 2008, we will be restricting the rules for these
cars to better insure that they are strictly stock Enduro type
cars. If your car
is deemed illegal for the Enduro event, you will be allowed to
compete in the Street Stock event.
In addition to these exciting divisions, we are working
to schedule a Pro-Challenge event as well.
This division is an exciting touring division featuring
smaller cars and young up and coming drivers from around the
Southeast.
Both the June and October events will feature the same
divisions, with the October event featuring the 1st
annual NC Street Stock Championship and the annual 150 lap
Enduro event! Enduro
drivers will also have chances to run their cars, under the
same rules, at Newport Speedway in 2008.

division and the Enduro division will be posted on the
Tri-County website. For

The spectator admission for this event will be the same as
a normal weekly Tri-County event.
