Cox finds victory lane at Tri-County
Hudson, North Carolina (August 17, 2007) - Monty Cox
decided to take advantage of a night off from the late model
stock division to enter the Mountain Dew 75 Limited Late Model
race. He was glad he did.
Cox held off Bill Cassavaugh to get his first win in the
limited late model division this season. Tim Wilson was third
with Brian Conforth and Tony McKinney completing the top-five.
Kevin Townsend continued his winning ways taking top honors
in the Pepsi Super Stock division race. Steve Parris was
second with Jason Franklin third.
After experiencing mechanical problems last week, Ernie
Harris returned to victory lane in the Street Stock division
race with Jeremy Pelfrey finishing second. Kevin Eby, Marshall
Sutton and Donnie Buckner completed the top five.
Chad Miller won the Baton Tire Fast ‘n Furious race with
Ronnie Sims second and Nikki Long grabbing the final podium
finish.
The Vintage Cars made their last visit to TCMS for the
season and Wayne Hearne was able to take home the trophy. Don
Huffman and Rick Earnhardt completed the top three.
The track will take next week off and return with a special
Saturday show on September 1 when the UARA-Stars Series makes
it second visit to TCMS this season.
