Located in Western North Carolina, Tri-County Motor
Speedway is a 4/10 mile banked asphalt track racing weekly on Friday night
as it has for most of it's existence. A NASCAR Home Track facility,
TCMS features Late Models as it's premier division and has been a proving
ground for many of today's rising talents.

Brown Repeats at Tri County
Hudson, North Carolina (August 3, 2007) - R.A. Brown
has made his presence known. The Columbia, South
Carolina driver joined Coleman Pressley as the only other
driver to repeat at Tri County Motor Speedway this season in
Late Model Stock competition. Brown held off a hard-charging
Ricky Bryant to score his second win in as many weeks.
Chris Chapman finished third with Monty Cox rebounding from
motor woes to finish fourth and Brian Goforth completed the
top five.
Kevin Townsend was declared the Pepsi Super Stock winner
with Steve Parris second and Ricky Brown third.
Marshall Sutton edged out Kevin Eby for the Street Stock
win as the duo raced side by side for almost the entire race
with Sutton winning by about four feet at the finish line.
David Smith was third with Donnie Buckner fourth and Scott
Metcalf finishing fifth.
Chad Miller won the Baton Tire Fast & Furious race with
Nikki Long second. Ronnie Sims completed the top three.
Jeff Banks won the Tri-County Minis feature with Billy
Hyden second and Todd Ledbetter coming home third.
Jimmy Weatherford won his first-ever race taking home top
honors in the 11-car Road Rage event.
