Located in Western North Carolina, Tri-County Motor
Speedway is a 4/10 mile banked asphalt track racing weekly on Friday night
as it has for most of it's existence. A NASCAR Home Track facility,
TCMS features Late Models as it's premier division and has been a proving
ground for many of today's rising talents.

Pressley Becomes First Repeat Winner at Tri-County Motor
Speedway
Hudson, North Carolina (July 28, 2007) - Coleman
Pressley took advantage of starting from the Kelley’s Sports
& Awards Pole position to win the first race of the night
during Twin 50 night at Tri-County Motor Speedway. Pressley,
who won last week and with his win became the first late model
stock driver to repeat as winner this season at the track,
outdistanced Mike Swaim, Jr. for the win in the 50-lap
feature. Darell Wallace, Jr. finished third with Alli Owens
and Junior Franks completing the top five.
R. A. Brown was able to get the win in the second 50-lap
race with Travis Swaim finishing second and Pressley finishing
third. Franks was fourth and defending track champion Ricky
Bryant collected his first top-five in a new car.
Scott Franklin was able to outdistance Kevin Townsend in
the Pepsi Super Stock feature to help keep his lead in the
point standings. Steve Parris was third with Jason Franklin
and Bryan Goforth completing the top five.
Nikki Long continued her domination in the Baton Tire Fast
& Furious division with Chad Miller second and Kenny Watts
third. Jimmy Whisnant and Danny Wyatt rounded out the top
five.
Due to rainfall during the program TCMS was forced to
postpone the Street Stock and Road Rage features until next
week.
