Located in Western North Carolina, Tri-County Motor
Speedway is a 4/10 mile banked asphalt track racing weekly on Friday night
as it has for most of it's existence. A NASCAR Home Track facility,
TCMS features Late Models as it's premier division and has been a proving
ground for many of today's rising talents.

Hudson, North Carolina (June 1, 2007) - Matt McCall
took the lead on the opening lap and held off a hard-charge by
Travis Swaim and Ashley Huffman to win the 75 lap Late Model
Stock feature at Tri County Motor Speedway Friday night.
McCall
made his first start of the season at TCMS a good one taking
home the victory.
“I knew we had a good car in qualifying,” said McCall.
I know on those restarts Travis was giving it everything he
had but we were able to hold them off for the win.”
R.A. Brown followed Huffman in fourth while Coleman
Pressley finished fifth. TCMS regular Monty Cox finished sixth
with Australian Owen Kelly finishing seventh. Jason Grant,
Junior Franks and Darrell Wallace, Jr.
completed the top 10.
Bill Cassavaugh took the checkered flag in the Limited Late
Model feature. Tyler Church followed in second with Ricky
Bryant completing the top three. Mario Hernandez and Brandon
Cox completed the top five.
Veteran Marshall Sutton outlasted Ernie Harris to win the
Street Stock feature. Kevin Eby finish third with David Smith
and Mike Hatton completing the top-five.
Defending Baton Tire Fast & Furious division champion
Nikki Long continued her impressive run winning for the fourth
time this season with Chad Miller second. Kenny Watts finished
third with Scott Bumgarner and Danny Wyatt finishing fourth
and fifth, respectively.
Doug Setzer once again collected the Mini Stock win with
Scott Whittington and Jerry Lineberger third.
