Dietz Wins, Fans Jubilant
 Hudson,
NC (July 16, 2004) - Long time Tri-County Motor
Speedway racer Gary Dietz has been working hard this season to
break into the winners circle. After many years of being
a regular competitor in the Street Stocks, Dietz can
also proudly wear the title of winner.
Polesitter Kevin Eby led the first half of the event, but
on lap 13 Dietz was able to motor by for the lead and never
looked back. The fans went wild as Dietz exited his car
and made his way to the fence to climb to the top. Dietz
dedicated the race to his friend and sponsor, the late
Ralph Rich, of Lenoir. After all of the celebrating
ended, Kevin Eby was second with Jesse LeFevers third, Donald
Little fourth and David Smith fifth.
In Tuscon Late Model action Jay Gerst picked up
the win with Jacky Workman second, Rock Harris third, Jeff
Hagaman fourth and Kenny Campbell fifth. Dexter Canipe,
Jr. was sixth, Tres Wilson seventh, John  Reynolds
eighth, Kyle Mansch ninth and Bill Cassavaugh tenth.
In the Super Sport event Mark Livingston picked up his
first win with Kevin Dill second, Monty Cox third,
Donnie Buckner fourth and Donnie Harmon fifth.
Rickie Dennie was another racer to take the checkered flag
and delight the fans. Dennie took the lead when Randy
Canipe experienced problems and was able to go on for the win
with Scott Whittington second, Tyler Church third, Rodney
Poston fourth and Rob Lewis fifth.
The Fast and Furious event went to Worley Robbins with Jon
Ebeling second, Stephen Clippard third, Adam Hatton fourth and
Richard Watts fifth.
In the USAC Midgets Chase Scott was first to cross the line
in the 30-lap feature with Mike Ward second, Sam Beam third,
Mike Sobro fourth and Ginny Quimones fifth.
This Friday night TCMS will host racing in all divisions
with 50-lap twin features for the Late Models. For more
